TYLER INTERIORS
Originally from Columbia, South Carolina, Karen is a graduate of Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and a minor in Fine Art. During her time at Clemson, she spent an extended time in Italy studying art and architecture history. After college, Karen moved to Charlotte and began working in the banking industry. After several years in banking, Karen decided to jump back into art and design by earning a minor in Interior Design from Queens University. For the last 8 years, she has worked with her dear friend and collaborator Elizabeth Klosterman with Elizabeth Klosterman Design Studio.

We also wanted to explore the options for a semi-open concept between our kitchen and living room, but weren't sure what would be best. The design and construction aspects were handled quickly and we didn't have to worry or think about anything. Being able to have the confidence that the jobs were going to be completed not only on time, but to a high quality, was worth it completely. Laura’s innate classic style transfers seamlessly to modern and traditional spaces. Lauren believes that a home should be a true reflection of the client’s personal taste and works closely with her clients listening to their specific needs. Alix's love of travel, culture and community speaks to her passion for working with a diversity of clients. When she’s not overseeing the KBN office, you can find Alix in the great outdoors—hiking and soaking up nature. She loves the fall in the Blue Ridge Parkway, Boone's thriving art community, yoga and bluegrass music. When summer unfolds, she heads to her family farm in Harbor Springs, Michigan where she revels in the small town lifestyle and beautiful Lake Michigan.

Having a work environment where everyone has mutual respect for one another and can recognize others' strengths is something that inspires Natalia every time she steps into the office. Laura stays up to date on current trends and vendors in the design world by being involved. She's an NKBA member and served as president of the Interior Design Society. She's actively involved with Habitat for Humanity, and she attends industry conferences and markets that keep interior design ever evolving.
I had been putting off refreshing our kitchen because it felt way too overwhelming. As a busy working mom, I needed someone not only to help design it, but to coordinate contractors, manage the communication, andlook out for the details I'd be too busy to think of. Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Laura's knack for design was cultivated at a young age in a family whose professions were based in the commercial and residential construction industries. Thanks to a recommendation from her father, who did business in Charlotte, she went on to attend University of North Carolina at Charlotte. At UNC, her lifelong passion for art and design began to take shape as a profession. Our mission is to focus on building long term trusting relationships with clients and lead them with a start-to-finish approach.
She loves watching the designers make a vision come to life while ensuring everything goes according to plan. Her imperative roles here at KBN are managing the office, bookkeeping, and accounting. Luxury meets nature with KBN’s interior design projects on the shores of Lake Norman, North Carolina. No matter how you want to feel in your space, we can help you achieve it. Her award-winning design work integrates architecture, function and interior design. She works with homeowners to translate their dreams into interior works of art built to house legacies. Laura is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and The New York School of Interior Design. She has extensive design experience and has worked at top New York City interior design firms.
